In last year's head-to-head tilt, the Northstars defeated their opponents on the road, 8-7.  C-NS jumped ahead with a trio of early goals Tuesday, leading by three, 10 minutes into the first half. Shortly after, Westhill attacker Rebecca Gilhooley hit the back of the net twice to cut her team's deficit to one at the break.  Katelyn Karleski opened play after intermission with her first goal of the battle to tie it at three, before Makena Scarlata and Jess Meneilly responded to make it a 5-3 Northstars lead. Karleski would then put in her second and third score of the game to draw the game even again, before Massena had the final say, coming off a feed from Brenna Duffy.  In the victory, Scarlata, Meneilly, and Massena each had two points on a pair of goals, while Duffy notched two assists. In the loss, Karleski had the hat-trick and Gilhooley had three points with her two goals and one assist.
